Ministers Prayer Fellowship

Welcome to the Ministers Prayer Fellowship online. We're glad you're here today. This resource is designed to provide practical help for pastors around the world. Years ago someone took the time to mentor me-to teach me about working with people, about leadership principles, and about teaching and preaching the truth of God's Word. I'm still learning. In this site I'm sharing a portion of what I've learned over the years in the ministry. Much of that learning took place in the classrooms, in the pulpit and in my study of God's Word. I believe, to become a pastor there must be a calling and a gift of teaching. When we have that gift we can always working to sharpen our skills so that we can motivate others to be their best for God.

I was privileged to serve as a pastor/teacher for more than twenty five years. My father the late Pastor P V Thomas served as a pastor for about 60 years and his influence in my life and in the ministry has been immeasurable. Most of the resources in this site are simply based on my personal experience and that of those mentored me. In some articles, I simply adapted an existing work to fit the format of this document. In all cases, I have done my best to credit authors and originators. May this resource help pastors use their time and energy in the best way.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV).

Even if it seems that what you're doing for Him is not making a very big impact, know this: your labor is not in vain. The Lord does not pay you on commission. He pays you for your labor. He doesn't pay you depending upon how successful you are in service. He pays you for your labor. Just be faithful to do what He has called you to do, and leave the results to Him. God bless you as you continue to serve Him. Just like in life, pastoral ministry has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Finishing is as important as beginning. How you finish is often the way you will be remembered.

"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do, or any act of kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again".

From my heart,
Alexander Thomas.
